ABSALOM AUTREY,born 1802 in N.C. married Elizabeth Norris in Al. Robert Martin Autrey, his son, married first Elizabeth Jane Kemp, who was born 13 Oct. 1846 in Claiborne Parish, La. He and Elizabeth had five children: William Absalom Autrey, Elbert Eugene Autrey, Edward Monroe Autrey, Cisero Theodore "Pink" Autrey and Columbia Anne Autrey. Elizabeth Jane died 30 Oct. 1879 and is buried in Antiock, Texas.

Robert Martin Autrey then married Sara Jane Scarborough on 14 April 1880 in Maud, Bowie County, Tx., and had four children: Elonsio Cleveland "Lon" Autrey, Thomas Dillard Autrey, Robert Martin Autrey Jr. "Bob", and Arlena Autrey.

Robert Martin Autrey died 23 Nov 1919 and Sara Jane died 6 Jan 1947. Both died and are buried in Bowie County, Tx.
