Thank you for the email. It is great to talked to another 58th NCT descendant. I have in my notes that Autry received his most unfortunate injury on September 1, 1864, during the battle of Lovejoy Station, Georgia. I do know that Autry applied for a pension in 1901, so his death occurred at some point after this date.

I am quite familiar with the Museum in Burnsville. I was on the board at one time, and wrote a history of the McElroy House a few years ago.
