I am looking for a connection between Tabbitha Rea (B1825 SC) and John Ortery(Autry/Autrey) born 1821 also in SC. I have an unsupported claim they were married in 1845 and that John died a suicide victim in April of 1858. I have tried to get hold of obituaries from historical newspapers in the Greenfiled SC area to no avail.
Also I would like to connect John's parents Benjamin and Zilpha to their ancestors. One site has a connection to the Benoni Dare family of NJ but without documentation.
I am an Ortery through my grandmother's family and I would appreciate any tidbits anyone has about this diverse family.
