I was wondering what the (P) in Joseph P. is for. I'm descended from John P. & Elizabeth through their son, John Patton who married Margaret Burnett. I've been told it's Paul but have no proof. My great uncle was Montgomery Patrick, son of John Patton & Elizabeth Burnett Autrey's William C. Autrey. This is so confusing but all I want to know right now is what the P in John P & Joseph P. stand for. I've also gathered a lot of information on John Patton Autrey's family if anyone is interested.
