I just want to let you know that the book, Bartlett Eaves (ca 1765-ca 1833): His Ancestors and Descendants, is finally finished and to thank you again for your help.
Who would have thought it would take more than six years.
The 8½ by 11-inch book contains 550 pages, including a bibliography and a full-name index. Women have been indexed by both their maiden names (if known) and their married names.
The book includes full narratives on seven generations of Eaves – beginning with Bartlett Eaves’s great-grandfather and ending with his great-grandchildren. Bartlett’s identified great-great-grandchildren are listed along with their places of birth, if known, their death dates, if known, and their marriages, if known.
I have a short narrative on William Nelson Autrey, one on his father, Elijah Berryman Autrey and narratives on his his paternal grandparents, Cornelius and Nancy (Eaves) Autrey, and two of his great-grandparents, Bartlett Eaves and Absalom Autrey, and so on.
Sources are provided for all of the information in the book. And an appendix discusses problems that could not be handled in footnotes.
