Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, the Elbert Eugene and Alma Endsley and connecting families will be gathering for another reunion. It will be held at the Maud Gun Club, US Highway 67, about one mile east of Maud, Bowie County, Texas, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. No alcoholic beverages in the building.
Elbert and family are descended from Robert Martin Autrey and Elizabeth J. Kemp, also the son of Absalom Autrey and Elizabeth Norris. Everyone is welcome to join us, bring old family photos, family bibles or other materials you would like to share with others. We are looking for descendants of his brothers, Will and Ed Autrey. Absalom and Elizabeth lived in Dubach, Lincoln Parish, La., had several children and many grandchildren and other descendants who came to Texas, especially in Bowie, Coryell, Kaufman, Dallas, and many other counties.
