Linda,
The name should be ZUPANCIC not Zupaneie, when translating old papers lower case c and e are often mistaken for one another.
John could be Janez, Johann or Ivan in Slovenian.Your John was most likely also born in Slovenia.Prior to the end of WW I (1918) Slovenia was part of Austria.Frank could be Franz.Maji, I am not familiar with that name but perhaps it was Marija.
Also the spelling LUZA does not appear to be from Slovenia however Cleveland Public Library necrology files mention the following:

Lužar is a topographic name for a person who lived near a pool, from luža ‘pool’, ‘puddle’ + the suffix -ar denoting an inhabitant.
Joseph Felicijan, who originated from Styria (part of which is now in Slovenia) and was also a professor in Cleveland.
