Annette,I have done some further checks and I don't think the child Bridget MAXWELL who was born in 1860 in Emer. was their child
She is also listed under a cross reference as follows
Bridget MAXWELL b. 1860 Emer.no. 17671R
no father
mother Catherine MAXWELL
this child is also registered under the surname of Butler
Bridget BUTLER b. 1860 Emer. no. 17671R
father Michael
mother Catherine MAXWELL
so I don't think she is one of John & Catherines children at all
I noticed that there are a few children born to them in queensland but they are listed under the surname CONQUEST
I have had no success finding his arrival in any state
It looks like none of the childrens births were registered in victoria which makes it difficult when researching this family
Hope you have more luck
Steve
