Thanks again Mike,
I too have failed to find a Charlotte Blears in any of the census records. She was sentenced to 10 years by a court in the Liverpool area of N England. Blears is a Lancashire name, mainly from Eccles/Patricroft area where my Dad was born. The family were originally huguenots who settled in London in the 1640's and later the name Blary was anglicised to Blears.
Many thanks,
Paul.
