Hoping someone will have info on Thomas Smith born 1859, Hobart,Tas. On his marriage cert. to Louisa Wain his parents were named as George Smith and Ellen Hefney.
On his death cert. they were named as John Smith and Ellen Heffeney. He is listed as Thomas Patrick Smith on the birth cert. for one of his children.
The problem is I can find no record of his birth in Tas. Nor any reference to his parents or other siblings.(if there are any) Thomas died in Vic 1900. Vic BD&M have no record of his family either.
Any suggestions anybody????
