Posted by: Marilyn Prime (ID *****9744) Date: March 01, 2005 at 05:00:47
  of 1519

Samuel Westicott served in the 60th foot Regiment, Uk and Ionian Islands. He was discharged in 1827 aged 37. He came to Tasmania in 1850 as a Military Pensioner Guard. He was granted Land in 1857, known as Lot 18 Pensioner's Row (on the Jordan River) in the township of Pontville.
His daughter Ann married Joseph Henry Eacott (Eccot) in 1851. Joseph & Ann moved to Victoria about 1865. Samuel & Ellen Westicott followed them and settled in Daylesford.
Can anybody help with any info on the Westicott family?
Any info greatly appreciated.
