John Henry Durant - Tasmania in 1800s
Posted by: Bobbie Gardner (ID *****1968) Date: February 10, 2005 at 22:56:21

Looking for info on John Henry Durrant or Durant.
Occupation: a farmer (1876).

Spouse= Ellen Macarthur.

"Their daughter", Marie Ann Durant (aka Mary Agnes Durrant) states that she was born in Hobart Town, Tasmania and that her mother was Ellen Macarthur.

There is other information on a Mary Ann being released from an orphanage to the care of an Ellen Durrant. Need to confirm if this is the same Mary Ann & Ellen Durrant.

I'd welcome any news, if anyone can assist.
