Hi Ian,
I saw where there is a service to look up Marriage, Deaths and Births that you mentioned.

I have a marriage there where we have not been able to figure out if my Moore was married once, or twice as we have two possible maiden names for his wife. I believe it is the same woman just not sure of her last nameor his first.

He is:

Joseph/ John Bartlett Baldwin Wrightson Moore married to Elizabeth McGinnis, or Cooper married 15 Apr 1839 Tasmania, Australia, but a letter from her brother to her is signed by a McGinnis and is addressed to his Dear Sister another relative has that letter.

They had four of their five children there also, and the 5th one was born in the states in 1854 so that may be when they came here.

Alonzo Moore born 05 Feb 1840 Tasmania, Australia

Clara Louise Moore born 23 Apr 1842 Tasmania, Australia

Alphonso Rudolph Moore 05 Mar 1845 Tasmania, Australia (My great grandfather)

Lucinda Moore 14 Dec 1846 Tasmania, Australia

There last child was born somewhere in the states. I don't know if the Mother's maiden name would be on the births or not but maybe the Father's first name on one of them so we could know if it is Joesph which I had or John which another cousin has, also the maiden name of the mother for sure. I would sure appreciate any help but just the Marriage would be wonderful to know the full names of each parent as they should be as on their marriage certificate they should be right as they would have given them the names.

Thank you for any help you can give me on making sure I have these names right even if you can tell me where to go online or something to find them or where to order them that would be fine also.

Thanks Priscilla (Moore) Robertson
