Dear Bronwyn,

Sorry about the double post, but I hit the wrong key!!

There is, according to the index, two Thomas FIRMAN, one on the Recovery, the other on the Mangles on 21 April 1835.

It may be that there has been an error in the CD ROM and there was ever only one Thomas FIRMAN. Depending on cost I would apply to get a copy of the records of both Thomas FIRMAN from the Archives Office in Tasmania.

This site will help you further:

http://www.archives.tas.gov.au/genealogies/default.htm

I hope that this may be of some help
Good luck
Regards
Gordon
