Trying to locate information on American and Canadian Patriots' send to Van Diemans Land, the British penal colony now called Tasmania.

Americans sympathizers fought for Canada's independence from Great Britain.
Both Canada and Northern NY men participated at the Battle of Wind Mill in 1838.

Chauncey Bugbee is listed at one of those men who fought, and was transported to the penal colony in 1840 aboard the convict ship HMS Buffalo, he was listed as age 22, pob Jefferson Co NY, American Patriot convicted at Fort Henry Toronto.

Your help in finding any connection /information on him would be greatly Appreciated.

Thank you
