Trying to locate information on Americans and Canadian Patriots send to Van Diemans Land, the British penal colony now called Tasmania,

Northern NY in the Patriots War, 1837 and 1838, following the Battle of Wind Mill, in which Americans sympathizers fought for Canada's independence from Great Britain.

David Allen is listed at one of those men who fought, and transported to the penal colony in 1840 aboard the HMS Buffalo, he was listed as age 37 and pob Massachusetts.

Your help in finding any connection /information on him would be greatly Appreciated.

Thank you
