The role of Northern NY in the Patriots War, 1837 and 1838, following the Battle of Wind Mill, in which Canadians and many Americans sympathizers fought for Canada's independence from Great Britain.
Thomas Baker is listed at one of those men who fought, and transported to the penal colony in 1840 aboard the HMS Buffalo, he was listed as age 47 and pob Minden NY.
