Mr Howard Wilfred Williams, lic- ensee of the Duke of Wellington Hotel, Hobart, died at the Royal Hobart Hospital on Saturday, aged 51 years. Mr Williams was formerly a member of the Police Force, and his last,, station was Kempton, from which he resigned about 10 years ago. He became the licensee of the Melton Mowbray Hotel, and later moved to Hobart ,
Mr Williams was interested In racing, and recently acquired the well-known pacer, Freddie Wilkes. He leaves his wife, two sons, Messrs Collis (AIF) and Max Williams (RAAF), and two daugh- ters, Misses Gwen (AWAS) and Norma Williams. The funeral will take place today. ,
