Seeking Richard Cotton/Cox
Posted by: Stuart Collidge (ID *****3455) Date: May 21, 2011 at 17:19:57

Looking for information about Richard Cotton (b. ~1898). He married Gladys May Lovett (b. ~1896), fought in WWI and had 3 children Richard Bruce (m. Irene England), Valerie (m. Patrick Batchelor) and Phyllis.
His war record lists Augustine Cotton as his next of kin, a wealthy landowner from Ringarooma, but family legend is that Richard was adopted (not formally, more of a working orphanage/indenture kind of deal). Richard doesn't appear in the will (which was a mess anyway) and was supposedly very poor. The story is that his real surname is Cox.

Any leads would be useful, cheers.
