Castelow in Tasmania

I am trying to find out what happened to my convict ancestor after he was given his certificate of freedom in Launceston, Tasmania on 14 August 1855. I have no record of him leaving Tasmania but no record of him staying either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks! Christine
