James HINCH and Samuel Hinch McBurnie - Help Please
Posted by: Wendy Fensom (ID *****7889) Date: January 24, 2004 at 02:15:46

I understand that microfilm copies of old birth certificates are available at the SA Genealogy Society. I am trying to trace my ggg-grandfather James HINCH and was wondering if someone could possibly view the birth registration for Samuel HINCH McBURNIE, first registered I understand as HINCH and later as McBURNIE? His date of birth was 28/10/1856.

I'd like to know at the time of Samuel's birth whether his (presumed) father James HINCH was still alive as I cannot find any death record for him. James's wife, Maria HINCH nee TORRENS remarried on 25/12/1857.

Any assistance or suggestions will be gratefully received.
