James Thomas Osborn
Born Oct.1824 d 19 Jan. 1910. Swaftham Norfolk, England.
Enlisted Queens army 29 Nov 1946 tag no. 2451
Fought inthe Crimean war 1853-1856
wounded in leg. Transferred to Mauritius.
discharged from army 1857
worked as Policeman on Mauritius until shot in back by another policeman.(pvt. O'Shanessy). Lighthouse keeper at Cannonier Point til 1881. stravelled to Port Adelaide on the Coorong. Interested in pre 1830 information of family in England and war records.
