SOUTH AUSTRALIAN CORPS OF VETERANS. 1913. about 40 veterans.
“Advertiser” newspaper, 26 May 1913.
A few of the men mentioned of about 40 men who formed the Corps of Veterans in South Australia were :

1....Ashby, G., corporal, Frontier Light Horse, Kaffir and Zulu wars, 1877-8-9.
2....Bryson, A.H., Lucknow.
3....Farey, F., Royal Navy, Sinonosaki in 1884, in Japan.
4....Griggs, H.W., sergeant in 9th Lancers.
5....Hanley, T.,sergeant, Gordon Highlanders, Afghanistan, 1st and 2nd Boer wars.
6....Hewett, Corporal, 13th Lancers.
7....Hinton, Surgeon Major (absent)
8....Mills, trooper (absent)
9....Moore, G., Sergeant
10..Shellum, J., Royal Horse Artillery, Afganistan.
11..Talbot, J., 65th Foot, New Zealand war.
12..Thompson, G., sergeant 1st Madras Fusiliers, Lucknow.
