Kellie
many thanks for the information.
The name "Fortescue" is becoming a little more intriguing

Elizabeth Fortescue Taylor brought it to South Australia.
She married Samuel James Butler and had Elizabeth Fortescue Butler who married my grandfather Henry Field.

They had Harrield Fortescue Field who married Bishop

I'll have to look for the birth of Elizabeth Fortescue HArris to see if her mother was a Butler or a Field

Any help appreciated

regards
Dennis
