Thank you so very much for sending me the information. I'm gathering genealogical information on Mary McLean for a small mitochondrial dna study. There are 30 people who's mtdna Haplogroup T haplotype is the same or very similar to mine. We are all a little distinctive in that we have a HVR2 263 marker with an adenine (263A) instead of the more usual guanine (263G). Since the mtdna is inherited through the maternal line I put in all the information I can find about the mothers and daughters. I do put in the sons, fathers and husbands but don't add more information on them.
I'll follow the links you suggested and if I am lucky may find the name of Mary McLean's maternal grandmother and go back another generaton. So far the most distant direct maternal ancestors of the people tested were born in Wales(3), Ireland (1), Cornwell, Eng. (1) and 1 possibly in Denmark. The rest were born in the United States.
Please let me know if there was any expense, you mentioned 99 cents for each record and I will send it to you.
Thanks again - Marian
