Hi again,
Don't give up on William yet..
Remember in one of my earlier posts I mentioned a William ALLINGHAM that was sent to Australia as a convict???

On checking more about him I find he was born about 1790 (give or take depending on records) and was from Kent..

So I am checking as much as I can on him to see if anything fits in.
It appears he used an alias William CUBITT and was tried in Kent, Rochester Sessions 16th October 1832 receiving 7 years...((May explain why we cannot find them as a family in 1841 census)He arrivd on the ship "Neva" 1833 and was sent to K C CARTWRIGHT at Argyle.
((Might also explain why his family came to Australia))

Now I cannot find a TOL or COF for him...but will check it a bit further and see where it leads..

Kellie
