The plot thickens! I have Dalton, John b. 1854-04-08 Male parents John Dalton and Sarah Allingham [birth place not recorded] Reg SA Distr Ade bk.4 p.322. He is a grandson of William Allingham and if the 1854 date is correct, his sister (ie Eleanor Dalton, the grandaughter who married John Braunsthal, in 21 Apr., 1855) is much older than him. Interesting. Sarah must have conceived John late in life. At least we know that the Kent born William is our man- at least with regard to the Dalton line.
