Hello kellie,
Yes it is the Henry Rix who married Eliza Payne (his age on the marriage cert was "of full age") father Henry Rix, Cork Cutter) - Henry Jnr was a cork cutter as well.
His age on the shipping index was 26 (1871) so I have estimated his birth date to be 1845 (I thought I had found his birth with a father Charles in 1845 Essex but when I received the marriage cert with his father as Henry I had to change my tac.
I have not been able to find Henry with father Henry in the 1851 or 1861 English census's.
Henry Rix m Eliza Payne in Camberwell (LDN)in 1864 and their only daughter Caroline was born in Newington (LDN) in 1868. I have not found any information as to where Henry was born.
If you could find Henry b abt 1845 with father Henry in the 1851/61 census would be just wonderful.
Regards
