Hiya Welwood,

I may end up posing more questions than answers..hehehe

I noticed that the TATCHELL's didn't have children registered,,I thought that might be why they may have taken in children,,,BUT I found it weird that there is hardly any mention of them anywhere in SA registers...

I began checking Susannah's death,,,even though her death record states 63yo and has her husband as NOK I really don't think he was there or signed it!!!!
Her burial states 68yo and she is in Common Ground as her religion is unknown~~~You would think her husband would know her religion and have her buried accordingly???? OR if Maggie was really their daughter (as suggested by some people and records) you would think she would have made sure her mother/step mother had a proper burial....

Anyway,,made me think that Maggie may have been caring for her as William was away...SO I checked for William and although nothing positive yet,,,,,there is a William with brother Thomas who was mining in VIC from about 1854 right through and were mining near a fellow named William JONES...
(Too old to be Maggie hubby but might be his father)

Anyway,,,off to do a bit more,,,
Kellie
