Thanks Mia

The alledged assaultant was Frank OBRIEN and its is possible that Phillis and Frank were married.
To the best of my knowledge Frank and Phillis were city dwellers even if not of the same abode.
I could not find a marriage for them so I have doubts.
I have seen other variations of the name AHEARN like HERN
and with and without the E (end).
But even so if you cannot find a Phillis death in 1942 then perhaps it may be a mystery.
I have a close family member assisting me with the compilation of our history and the death of Phillis was by his admission a self witnessed account (he was abit 14) and the subsequent trauma is now starting to show in his emotions. I wanted to verify if he actually saw a murder or is in fantasy land.
