I too am looking for info on the surname Hundt. my Fredrick Stephen Hundt came from Germany to the United States in the mid 1850s he also dropped the d to spell his name Hunt. My unkle was in the military in Germany and did some searching to find out that Hundt means dog in german, all the people he asked there laught at him. I'm wondering if the name is from a differnet rieginon of Europe. I would like to see if anyone elsie might know where the name came from.
