I'm in Adelaide, South Australia. For about 7 years now I have been doing free research for anyone requiring information from the records of their ancestors here. I was browsing this forum a few days ago and saw your request re William John Frederick Hall, and decided to see what I could find when I was in the library yesterday. I suspect you probably already have this information, but here's what I found.
ARRIVAL FROM OVERSEAS. (There are two arrivals listed here for a Richard Hall.)
1. Richard Hall, agricultural labourer from Cornwall, aged 33yrs, married, his wife Anne aged 34yrs and daughter Elizabeth A. aged 9yrs all arrived South Australia aboard the "Salamanca" which sailed from England 1/11/65
2. Richard Hall, aged 27yrs, his wife Martha aged 28yrs, and two daughters Lilian aged 3yrs and Florence aged 1yr arrived in South Australia from England in 1877. I did not have time to look up the exact details of this voyage, but am happy to do so next week when I go back to the library.
I will also look to see if a male child was born during this voyage.
William John Frederick aged 22yrs, single, son of Richard Hall married 13/9/99 to Sarah Maud Jane Marshall aged 20yrs, single, daughter of William Henry Marshall at St. Paul's Church, Port Pirie. Dis. Clare ref b200 p959
Sarah Maud Jane born 4th Nov. 1879 place of birth not recorded Dis. Frome to William Henry Marshall and Mary Ann Parker ref b229 p295
I have also made a note to look for siblings of William John Frederick Hall when I go to the library again.
I hope some of this may be of some interest.
