I'm in Adelaide and for about 7 years now have been doing free research for anyone who requires information from our records here. I was in the libray last Friday and found the following, so thought you might find it of some interest.
PASSENGER LIST INFORMATION.
John Mullan (spelt with an 'a' instead of an 'e' on the passenger list, labourer from Derry, aged 21yrs, and wife (not named) aged 20yrs, arrived in South Australia 26th November 1855 aboard the "Glentanner" which sailed from Plymouth 25th August 1855. The "Glentanner" was a three mast ship built in 1842 at Aberdeen. It was owned by Hyde Hodge, Registered in London. The captain for the voyage was Benjamin Bruce.
Our birth records go from 1842-1906, but there is no birth recorded at all to a John Mullen (and variant spellings) with a wife named Emily.
John Mullins (that's how it is spelt on the record) aged 28yrs, marital status not recorded sonof John Mullins married 18th January 1861 to Maria Spain aged 23yrs, marital status not recorded, daughter of John Spain, at the Catholic Church, Mt. Barker District Mt. Barker. ref b47 p215.
Our death records go from 1842-1915 and there is no death recorded of an Emily Mullen (or variant spellings) during that period.
I hope this is of some help to you. If there is anything else you would like me to look for, please don't hesitate to ask.
