Hi Ian
I have my GGGrandparents Thomas & Margaret Turton arrived in Moreton Bay in 1857, aboard the good ship "Hastings". They setup home in Warwick, & soon started a family. They had 6 children, Elizabeth Ann,b. 1860; Rose Ann (or Susannah),b. 1862; John,b. 1864; James,b. 1866; Ellen,b. 1868; Margaret,b. 1870. Unfortunately their father fell from his dray, to his death in 1871. I don't know how long they stayed in Warwick or QLD, but in 1885 Rose Ann married Daniel Maloney, my GGrandfather, in Sydney, NSW. Later in 1890 Daniel's brother, James, married Rose Ann's sister, Margaret, also in Sydney!! Are you able to find out if the mother re-married in QLD, & if she mooved to Sydney with the family ? Or stayed in QLD with her other children, & did they marry in QLD, & died there ?
A big ask I know, would like know. Thanks.
Kind Regards
Col
