Thank you SO much for your information on the death of
Fanny Bennet. She is my g.grandmother, and I have all the
South Aust. family history.
Her moving to Queensland is a mystery, although the information re son John Herbert living in Qld., gives me
the clue.
Fanny was the adopted daughter of the Rankine family (no records kept in 1840) so another mystery.
Her daughters Flo & Molly - I'm only knowledgeable about
Molly as she came back to SA and lived with my family in
the 40s.
It is 9 degrees here in the Adelaide hills atm., too cold
to sit in this unheated room, so I will do some follow up
reseach asap.
