Posted by: lesley roebig (ID *****1917) Date: January 31, 2010 at 22:19:08

I have only the fact the george and michael beck came to australia on the la rochelle in 1863

The rest of the roebigs on this ship went west to windorah, roma, mitchell just a few places that I have found them. But not Margaretha there was another sister called Margaretha Catherine who I have found but not the eldest person.I know that Johann George Beck married a Margaretha Roebig as soon as they got off the ship in the lutheran church Nth Brisbane. He was 28 and she was 34. There is no other record of these two people or the brother.
No record of births, one the above marriage, no deaths nothing. I contacted the lutheran church archives and they have no other record. Ideas seached : Did they go interstate? cant find anything. Did they leave australia? cant find anything
have look in the newspaper records available on the web no joy.
any ideas to find these people would be appreciated
