Hi Jan,
I'd bet my bottom dollar on Florence Eva FLANAGAN being the correct lady you were seeking.
Once the other SKS (Robyn MILLS) identified your correct family(KRATZ),I searched through the set of Queensland BMD microfice. These microfiche are done up in blocks of five years.
I found the marriage for Florence and followed through on the premise that I was correct and then knowing thay your Florence was born in 1870,kept loking through the microfiche till I found the death registration that fitted my assumption.
When you look at the death registration in question, I knew I had the right death registration when the father's surname was recorded as MALONE.Just to go further,I also strongly suspected that I was correct when I looked at the same parents having children in South Australia.
I don't know if you know, but Florence and Ralph have their children registered in both surnames (MALONE and KRATZ).
I did obtain a copy of Dorothy Maud SMITH's death and funeral notices.
I will look for Dorothy's marriage and see if there is a possible link to a SMITH(maybe a second marriage ?).With Violet's death notice it would seem that Florence and Violet must have had contact with each other, because of Violet's mention of Dorothy SMITH.
Liz.
