I have an ancestor who came to Australia on march 3rd 1900 in Sydney by boat (St Oruba). His name is Johannes Peter Bertelsen Jacobsen, born 1874 in Horsens, Denmark. I know he was still in Australia in 1908, where he recieved Certificate of Naturalization (No. 5839)on june 9th. In this period he lived in Booval near Ipswich (west of Brisbane, Queensland), Maryboro(ugh) further north og last in Doolbi near Childers. According to his aplication for Naturalization he's not married and has no kids. I know he is back in Denmark in 1916 according to a Census. In this census he is married to a local girl and has a son born march 1914. I would be very happy if I could find out what kind of work he had. Could someone PLEASE tell me if there is any Australian Census' in this period on the internet and where to find them.
Thanks for any reply.
Jens Madsen, Denmark.
