Hi Wayne,
I couldn't or wouldn't try to emulate Gordon BEACH,he has helped so many people,I could never hold a candle to his efforts.Everyone has a different approach to the collation of data.My way is to look at newspaper notices, and to attempt to put family members into that group via those notices.
I did make two errors in transcribing those notices from the "Brisbane Courier Mail" notice for Olive Ann Carberry, the name Mr.and Mrs.J.Patana should read Mr.and Mrs.J.Patane,I only noticed this after a closer examination of that surname.
The other error was that after Mrs.V.Martin,there should be inserted "Mr.and B.(Cyril) Carberry,".
With those two corrections that notice now reads correctly,it was late when I typed those notices, but hey we are all only human.

In reading the above notice, you know that S.B.Carberry is her husband,Mrs.V.Martin is one of her sisters,Mrs.C.Quadrio is another sister.
Mr.and B.(Cyril)could be a son?,Mr.and Mrs.J.Patane could be a daughter and son - in -law ?,and Mrs.M Nunan could be a niece ?,Mr.and B.(Cyril)could also be a brother - in - law ?.
It is interesting that there is a Mervyn Francis NUNAN listed on WWII nominal roll, born Brisbane 1923.He may be a nephew ?,which could make him a son of either Ivy or May.If he was a son of either Ivy or May,I would consider the possibility that Ivy or May or both of Olive's sisters were deceased and thereby not included in the notice.

Lots of Luck,
Liz.
