Liquor Premises 1899 at Canning Bridge, Melville Park Est, Perth

I am looking for any information about my ancestor cousin,
John Sutherland Mcleod,(born in Kyle of Localsh, Scotland in 1871) who in 1899, applied for a Publican's General Licencse, for the Sale of Liquor premises situated t Canning Bridge, Melville Park Estate, Perth Australia.

I would like to know if he was successful in his application, the name of the premises, and any other information.

His wife was Janet Agne Mackintosh. They at one time lived in Subiaco, Perth.
Thank you.
