Hi Dianne,
I got the info from the "Convicts in Western Australia - 1850-1887"
Here is the excerpt on your man.

"NATION, James (169 - convict number) b. 1800 - Married 2 children, butcher, literate, Church of England, convicted Taunton 1849 felony 12 years. Arrived "HASHEMY" 25.10.1850 Ticket of Leave 22.9.1851, Conditional Pardon 19.1.1856."

If you would like me to ask my local genealogy society that I belong to (Dead Person Society, Perth) to see if anyone has any records in Australia for your man - I will gladly do it for you. Our members are all over Australia and most have access to some or all records available (such as me with the Convicts, Free Persons and the births, deaths and marriages for Western Australia.

Please advise.
