Hi Marg,
The info on a marriage transcript I have doesn't have groom's place of birth or age - someone here at genforum told me the following:-----

"Charles' parents' names and his age and place of birth will be recorded in the church register at Dubbo - the minister was required by law to collect these details. The information sent to the NSW registry was very basic and the registry did start to reconcile the church registers with their records but they did not finish the job.
I would contact the Dubbo FHS first as many societies have already accessed their local church registers, and if they can't help, enquire directly to the church."

This is why I was also hoping to contact the Manse at Dubbo -

About a month ago I sent 3 emails (different addys that are on the Dubbo FHS site) to the Dubbo FHS but have not heard back from any of them - Perhaps they don't check their emails? I was requesting help in advice on where or whom to contact and also help with contacting the 'Manse' or how to find the parish registers from the Manse - I wasn't asking them to DO my research, just point me in the right direction -

Regards

Char
