Hello Jean
Thank you for your help -
Well I can cut those two out- although the age fits for the first one, but the wife doesn't - and you have the parents for this one, Charles with an 'F' as John & Elizabeth so that counts them out as parents for my Charles !! -
and the second one, Charles with an 'H', the wife and children don't match - By the looks of it, that Charles F was the father of this Charles H -
My Charles' wife was Ada - although they had separated, she called herself a widow so I don't think they bothered to divorce - meaning I don't think Charles remarried -
And yes that image is hard to read, but now after what you found, I don't think they are my Charles family - of course John & Elizabeth are fairly common names -
The names left after eliminating John & Elizabeth, and Charles F & Lucy - are; Charles & Jane, and John & Emily AND if his death wasn't registered until 1923 there are also: Frederick J & Lydia A and David (no mother listed)
Oh boy! I don't want to send for a cert if I'm not at least 50% sure of it, especially as you have checked Rookwood and those two you found definitely aren't my Charles -
This is why I need to know what those Family trees at Ancestry have as parents for Charles and a death date - The Charles they have is definitely mine as the wife they have is my G-Grandmother, Ada Alice Creighton SPROULE - Ada died in 1939 (I have her death cert) -
Their daughter Ada Florence (known as Florence) RICHARDS was my Grandmother, Nan died in 1988 aged 100yrs, and I knew her all my life - so she isn't just a name I found at the NSW BDM indexes - I knew her, so my info is correct -
I guess I'll just wait and hope someone can lookup Ancestry for me -
Thank you so much Jean for your help - at least now I can eliminate a couple of the Charles at NSW BDM indexes -
