Hi there: thank you for writing. I know what I'm looking for but have no names. All 3 families are from Ireland but Ireland didn't start issuing birth certificates until 1864. I've gotten as far as my GGG Sylvestro Brierton (Bryerton) in Quebec, Canada. He was born in 1807. In 2 different census one says he was born in Canada and one says Ireland. No mention of parents or siblings. He married 3 times. 1st to Mary Curran who died, no children, 2nd wife Sydney Scott had my GG Thomas and daughter Mary who died a few days after birth. Sydney also died probably in childbirth. 3rd wife Mary Carroll, they had 6 children,Thomas(my GG) Joseph, Sylvester.Francois, MaryAnn and Susanna. I'm trying to locate relatives of these children in Canada or wherever else they might be. I am a 5th generation Brierton. I'm trying to find if my GGG had any siblings and where they settled. Hope this helps somewhat. Patty
