Hello Mary Jane,
I know that you have the information,but in the National Library's "TROVE",there are articles and reports regarding the accident you mention.

If you glue and paste the link below into your address bar,you will be able to view the articles and reports mentioned;

http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/44121766?searchTerm=william%20williams&searchLimits=l-title=Barrier+Miner+%28Broken...|titleid%3A53|||l-decade=189|||l-year=1893|||l-monthInYear=April|monthInYear%3A04

It was easy finding this report,when you go to the "TROVE" home page you type "william williams" into the search panel,when you have the results,you may refine the search by finding "Barrier Miner"(Broken Hill newspaper),then refine further by selecting the year (1893),then refine furher by selecting "April" as the month.There are at least two reports for April,plus the funeral notice.

Hope this helps,
Peter.
