Jools,

I was checking out Wilcannia and apprently the first wife person to go there was in 1835 and it was populated by aboriginal people at the time
Walter Augustus married in Penrith and his children are listed as born in Penrith, Gulgong and Mudgee areas
Maybe he moved to Wilcannia at a later date
I also noticed that his wifes name was listed on one of the childrens births as Ann Adeline SMITH
There is a birth listed on the familysearch site for a Ann Adeline SMITH who would fit the bill
I know her name was Ann Adelaide but often incorrectly written as Adeline so it may be her
The baptismal record I listed is for your Walter in Sydney and that is where the family arrived when they came to australia
Do you have the ship they arrived on as I came across that as well while having a look for this family
You can see I am short of something to do this afternoon as too hot to go out

Jean
