I am sure there is an explanation for why it was done this way
It is not uncommon for details of other family members to be listed on gravestones even though they are not buried in that grave
I have come across quite a few plaques on gravestones with exactly the same thing
If you live close then maybe a visit to the Catholic Office in Rookwood would help as they have all the records on computer so they may be able to sort this one out
The Commonwealth War Graves site may list where Frederick is buried
Seems like Walter and Frederick were just mentioned on the gravestone and it may not have been erected before that time and someone decided to do it
I have recently as an executor put a headstone at Rookwood Old Church of England for people who died nearly 50 years ago and we did it as no-one in the family had ever got around to it before
Did this family always live in Wilcannia?
Needs some further investigation to sort it all out
Please let me know how you go
