Thanks, Jean. I already have a copy of his service records - hence the info about the dentures and a lot of my family seemed to have flat feet during WWI - those who didn't have shonky knees.
I didn't know when he died, though; the dentures were probably a bit late to do him any good.
He didn't marry in South Australia - I have those records and he was living with his father when he enlisted.
At least a year of death is something and thank you for that. My grandmother had eight siblings and he is the only one I haven't traced. I guess that seven out of eight is not bad.
