I am looking for any available information on John K. Mathewson, his family, birth and his death. He was born in Australia @ 1840, migrated to the United States, and at age 25, in 1865 he enlisted in the U. S. Navy at Baltimore, Maryland. Information is needed for a memorial to be placed on the Australian Veterans Memorial website, www.acwv,info. Any help will be greatly appreciated. jamesmgray@bigpond.com
