I entered Bernard Hall's name & his Australian Army service number into google & was delighted to be directed to the following: http://austcemindex.com/inscription.php?id=8101856 Which gives me an image & location of his gravestone; and thus his date of death. The extra details on the page include his birth date & service number which confirm it is the correct Bernard Hall. I have no idea how he came to be buried at Maclean; as I previously had him in Petersham near Sydney, although I had lost track of him c1950. Unfortunately I can't search for his death record as he died less than 30 years ago. I also can't search the trove newspaper archive, as it doesn't extend to 1988. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might gain further information? I wonder if there might be mention of his death in local newspapers, for example. Notify Administrator about this message?
